The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
